Finally saw...

"Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets" tonight. Excellent flick. Some observations, mostly trivial:
- Emma Watson is going to stop traffic when she gets a little older.
- Loved the fact that they cast Mark Williams ("The Fast Show" ("Brilliant" in the US)) as Mr. Weasley.
- Colin Creevey was carrying around an Argus camera. Very cool. If they did what pics do in the HP movies, I'd get one of my own.
- Absolutely loved the flue powder transport effect, and Fawkes' "death" effect. Fawkes was also beautifully done after his rebirth.
- The franchise has its work cut out finding a successor for Richard Harris in the role of Dumbledore.
- How are they going to maintain the dedication to the books and pull off successful film versions with the next two books, since they're so much longer?
- Stayed for the "Easter Egg" after the credits. It was nothing big, but still a laugh. semperfiona, I think I agree with your sentiment on it. :-)

I heard someone suggest Peter O'Toole for the role of Dumbledore. Sounds perfect to me.
