Note to Self

While Hunan Chicken for lunch and Pad Thai with Chicken for dinner in the same day sounded good then, the effects the next morning are not so enjoyable.

Well, that was fun.

I thought it was just the fluorescents in the laundry room flickering while I was up there hanging stuff from the dryer.

Nope - it was the whole house. Two brief (seconds in duration) outages. Enough to confuse the cable modem and fsck up every AC-powered device with a clock in the house.

And the storm isn't even here yet, though I can hear the thunder.

Earworms come from the strangest associations.

I got one yesterday by merely glancing at one of the "Oddly Enough" headlines on my Yahoo! page:

Y'all can figure out on your own exactly what song it gave me as an earworm (hint: the meter of the chorus fits the headline fairly well).

Yay!

I'm so glad BBC America is rerunning Brilliant! on Thursday nights (although I'll never understand why they aren't running it under the original BBC name of The Fast Show).
