This isn't a meme, but neither is it homework. It is related peripherally to my forthcoming Ph.D. work.

What about winter precipitation (freezing rain, sleet, snow), especially but not necessarily related to climate change, do you wish we (or even just you) knew more?

Heh. Actually your second suggestion is something I am considering investigating as part of my Ph.D. work. :-)

Yeah its a good idea isn't it, basically see if there is way using model made soundings to try and get a better picture. It would involve some field work and I would beg you to please use a snow board over anything else, many years at the field site has shown us that when it comes to frozen precip pretty much all sensors SUCK!

It was an idea I had for my master's degree but they said that it was too much for master's.
