Fifth tornado confirmed for Chicago area (Orland Park).

A lot of damage in the area, however, was caused by a derecho.

We used to get tornadoes only rarely, although I'm not including areas around Joliet which seem to have gotten them more often in the past. I've been meaning to ask you if you have an opinion as to why we're suddenly getting a few a year.
