1. Do you like talking on the phone? Why or why not?
It depends. If I'm talking to a loved one or friend, I can talk on the phone for hours. If I have to make a call to handle some detail regarding finances, a utility, a medical reason, etc., I hate making those kinds of calls.
2. Who is the last person you talked to on the phone?
computerchix, telling her about my gracefulness this morning.
3. About how many telephones do you have at home?
Six in the house, plus my cell phone and
computerchix's cell phone.
4. Have you encountered anyone who has really bad phone manners? What happened?
Occasionally, particularly at work. If it's a customer at work, and they aren't being obscene, I handle it as well as I can. If they get obscene, they get one warning, and then I hang up if they continue. At home, it generally depends on if it is someone I know and what we are talking about.
5. Would you rather pick up the phone and call someone or write them an e-mail or a letter? Why or why not?
At one time, I'd probably say I would rather send an e-mail or letter, but lately, I have enjoyed talking on the phone. I like the real-time interaction and hearing the other person's voice.
