Apparently the Nappanee, IN tornado of Thursday night was ~1/2 mile wide, was down for ~20 miles, and was an EF3 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale (winds 136-165 mph).

Date: 2007-10-20 09:53 pm (UTC)I know tornadoes can hit anywhere, but the lake effect used to kill almost all of them, and now we've had two years in a row when we've had more than one tornado here. There were funnel clouds over Oak Park not too long ago, but they never touched down.
