Mar. 8th, 2003 06:17 pmDamn! Damn! Damn! After we got back from running errands this afternoon, and noticing the temp was 60 degrees F or slightly above (albeit breezy), I almost went for a bike ride. Considering the time I would have left, I probably would have been about 5 or 6 miles out when the rain started. It is really pouring now. After the Death Valley ride last October and the conditions I encountered then (as well as a couple of times during training), rain itself wouldn't bother me. However, I probably wouldn't have remembered to wear the right gear (since I was quite eager to just hop on the bike and go), and I've seen quite a bit of lightning, which does bother me. Oh well. Today's weather is at least a good sign that the season will be here soon enough.
