I wish there was a way to rid myself of all H1 histamine receptors sometimes. I'm still fairly confident this week's bout of respiratory crud is allergies and not a cold because of the speed it seems to be going through its phases. I'm not used to allergy flare-ups starting that way, though, which is why I was afraid it was a cold. I used to think my allergies started with a sneezing fit, not PND. Several years ago, I saw an allergist and we did the whole gamut of tests - all the pin pricks on my back. Seems the list of what I'm not allergic to would be shorter. Tried immunotherapy for a while, but I couldn't maintain the weekly shots and waiting in the office after each one with my work schedule at the time. I wonder if I should ask my new regular doctor if she thinks I should try again.

Going to work more on the DKA Productions Store at Café Press today. I'm going to try to make two or three different calendars available for 2006. So if anyone wasn't satisfied with the actual print quality of the 2005 ones and just never said anything to be polite, this is a better printer. I've seen what Café Press does, and if there is a problem, they have a return policy they seem to stand behind well.

Speaking of the store, if anyone can think of what we should offer up there, let me know. Toni thinks we should have at least one thong, but I don't know what to put on it. The Grand Canyon? *ducks* Also, please please please pass the word around about the store. I haven't gotten any feedback yet from my announcement last night. While I try not to be an intrusive comment-whore, I'm going to be blunt: I can't tell when my work is substandard or just plain sucks if no one says anything.

This weekend I think will be more down time. May do some puttering about the house, cleaning and organizing a bit more. I wouldn't mind going to the Greek Festival this evening or tomorrow but I go mainly for the food, which Toni doesn't particularly care for, and parking is a nightmare (it's at the major local Greek Orthodox church). The other day I got what I could get done of the DVD cabinet I had abandoned last month due to defective parts. Still waiting on some parts but at least I got it together and got over half of our DVDs in it. Now I can navigate the office without tripping and we can see where all our DVDs are without major digging. The new cabinet also freed up a bookcase, which we put on the stairway landing for lack of any other space for one. And we can always use another bookcase. On top of it, I put the Argonath bookends we got with our Fellowship of the Ring enhanced DVD set. I need to try to glue Anarion's hand back on - I broke it when I knocked him off of the tall bookcase upstairs trying to get to the smoke alarm.

Also going to run to Border's today - got their monthly coupon in e-mail and I want to pick up a good CSS book and I may look at ASP books. A local organization wants a webmaster and they specifically want ASP. I think, given the set-your-own-hours expectations of the organization, I might be able to learn it along the way. They also want a wage requirement, though, and I have no idea what to ask for for such a webmaster position.

Anyway, time to put up the breakfast dishes, do my daily Nasacort snuff, and get my butt in gear for the day.

I am a terrible person. I just had a horrible vision of Nasacort snuff and getting your butt in gear.

So many pretty pretty pictures.

Hard to choose.

a good CSS book

I haven't opened one to be sure, but I think this one is likely to be pretty good, based on their website</>.

I've heard of that one. The Borders where I went didn't appear to have it (of course it could have been right under my nose and I might have missed it), but after perusing the shelves for quite a while, I went with my old stand-by, O'Reilly. :-)
