Mankind is limited in its understanding and its abilities, so how much more limited must its constructs be?

Heh. One of the meteorology profs at Purdue (I forget his name) believes that weather forecasting is an exact science. We just don't have enough data. He postulated that if we could take readings of the primary weather components (temperature, wind speed & direction, humidity, and barometric pressure) every square mile and every 1,000 feet of altitude, we'd have enough data. Aside from the obvious physical limitations on getting that much data, today's supercomputers would probably still have a heck of a time trying to chew on it. :-)
