Miscellany
Aug. 5th, 2005 10:34 pmIntro to Project Management Class wasn't bad. I was annoyed by the inability to clear my throat all day. Went through most of a stick of Hall's cough drops. As for the class, I realized I've been a pretty decent project manager, I just didn't apply the terms to what I was doing. So, I may take another class or two and try for my PMP certification - it certainly won't hurt the resumé since I've been looking at PM jobs. I'm going to give my resumé another pass anyway and throw some of the stuff from today's class in it.
Cough reverted to being unproductive this evening, and it's the powerful, head-throbs-in-pain-with-every-cough type. Don't know if it's a bronchitis relapse, allergy complication, or what. Got to pick up some more Mucinex and/or Robitussin DM tomorrow. Along with other grocery shopping.
Watched Troy on DVD this evening. Not bad. Battles were entertaining, but the acting was stiff, which was a bit of a disappointment considering all the names in the film (not counting Brad Pitt - I figured he could pull off Achilles if he could manage anyone in the story at all, at least as I remember my Homer). Disappointed in some of the story changes, but very annoyed that Odysseus seemed relegated to a minor character. Besides, if he'd been given more emphasis, it would have made all the Sean Bean fans happy. :-) The Trojan Horse was cool, and at least the filmmakers credited Odysseus with that idea.
