Oh, wait. That's not right.

All day yesterday I didn't notice the juniper splinter in my right thumb? Today, after running to Border's to grab a copy of What Color Is Your Parachute? and on to Home Despot to get 15 bags of cypress mulch, 3 more of topsoil for various little holes here and there, and a bag of Scott's PatchMaster, it was driving me bugfsck. I unloaded the mulch, watered the plants in the new front beds, and after my shower I was going to grab something for lunch and grab a pair of tweezers at Osco, because I couldn't find a single pair in the whole house!

Toni got home for lunch as I was finishing up after my shower, and squeezed it out very quickly. This demonstrated potential utility. If humans had a third hand, I wouldn't have been so frustrated with it all morning. :-)

If people had three ears, what shape would Q-tips be? --[livejournal.com profile] kateyule

Never thought of that, because I always use both ends of one Q-Tip in one ear. :-)

The tweezers are with all the socks and the nail clippers. Oh, and the ballpoint pens.

See, I think a lot of those items can change shape. Right now, as I look around, there are ballpoint pens everywhere. As soon as I need one, they'll realize it and turn into something else.

Yeah, that happens when I'm looking for nail clippers - I find odd socks and hair-trimming scissors :).

I think my ballpoint pens hide in dark corners and breed. Everything else vanishies, just like they would in a normal house, but I am apparently the shelter for all frightened ballpoint pens seeking refuge.

But do they all work? When I do find one, it seems to be dried out.

They work, or I can usually revive them. I don't know why this is but ballpoint pens other people want to throw away work for me, ballpoint pens that I pick up after they've been run over in the street work for me, ballpoint pens that have been sent through a black hole to cross interstellar distances and arrive mysteriously in my home work for me. I don't get it, but I'll take it. :)
