So, apparently, if I could just sit here and keep eating crystallized ginger chunks, I can breathe clearly.

Unfortunately, I think at some point my stomach would start getting mad at me.

Do you have high blood pressure? Try a ginger licorice tea. Licorice can elevate bp, though, so be careful.

Constantly swallowing (shut up) helps me the most. I almost always have something to drink. Tea and tisanes are good, as is water. Walking keeps the sinuses draining. Cinnamon, cloves, ginger, etc, all seem to help keep them clear. I've also found that ritual virgin sacrifices are invaluable.

Most of the time, my bp is great. For the last couple of months it has been up a bit, but I think it has to do with a combination of the stressful workplace and the fact that I've been on pseudoephedrine all winter. Weaning myself off the latter ASAP. Still working on fixing the former.

I know I'm not getting enough water, especially while I've been taking guaifenesin for this cold/bronchitis. Problem is, at work, I can't just get up and go pee whenever I need to, so I'm not drinking enough during the work day, and I know I can't make up for it in the evening at home.

Thanks for the tea suggestions. I may have to try some, because I'm not sure about the crop of sacrificial virgins around here.

I love crystallized ginger. It actually tends to help my stomach, especially with motion sickness. I had great success with continually munching crystallized ginger while riding in a small plane. (Yay! No dopey dramamine!)
