So that's just what I did.
And that's why this afternoon I think my ankle
has gone sore and probably red.
*ducks & runs*
The following statement is not meant to be judgmental in any sense. Is there some city code that women don't wear bras here while walking down the streets, or am I just noticing a larger population sample and being particularly lecherous?
This morning, after seeing Toni off on the conference shuttle bus, I grabbed breakfast at some cafe underneath the Hyatt, and then I got my camera and took off. I took several shots around Millenium Park. It's a very cool park, but I still think the band shell should be moved to Seattle or somewhere. It just doesn't seem to be a Chicago design, whatever that may be.
Next, I went to the Art Institute to check out the Seurat and the Making of La Grande Jatte exhibit. It was fantabulous. Must bring
After the Art Institute, I wandered around Grant Park, had a Chicago dog for lunch near Buckingham Fountain, and then wandered over toward State Street. Last I'd heard, several blocks were converted to a pedestrian-only mall. That must not have gone over very well, because there was plenty of auto traffic this afternoon (being directed by Chicago's finest, of course). Took some shots around State Street and headed back to the hotel.
Right now, we're resting before heading out to
I think tomorrow I'm going to take one of the Chicago river sightseeing cruises - let them take me around while I take pictures from the deck of a boat. Haven't decided whether I want to do the Historical or Architectural cruise, though. Probably the latter one.
