Indiana State Fair Photo Contest
Aug. 16th, 2004 03:03 pm- December Sunrise, Fishers, Indiana
- Headstone Roses, University of Virgina Campus Cemetery, Charlottesville, Virginia
- Ghosts of Multnomah Falls, Columbia River Gorge, Oregon
The one that didn't make the cut was Old South Cemetery, Ipswich, Massachusetts. I wonder if I should have gone ahead and entered the infra-red version of that shot. Oh, well. I'm also pleased with three out of four being displayed because this year I had to enter the Professional division, which has fewer subcategories and tighter competition. I'm particularly impressed that December Sunrise made the cut because I snapped that on a whim on the front porch with our little 3.2 Mp digital camera.
After checking out the photography, Al and I wandered about the usual haunts and had the requisite fair food before heading back home. I've had an unshakable headache all day and didn't want to spend all day at the fairgrounds, especially because it was actually getting pretty warm outside.

Not really that I noticed were specific to my prints, but we were browsing fairly quickly, considering the state of my headache at the time. There were probably around 500 or more total prints on display.
