Did you go to DexCon or are you a fan? :0)

Didn't go to DexCon. I'm a Something Positive fan. As cons go, I've only been to Penguicon so far. I'm thinking about popping in on GenCon here next month, especially if I can make it when John Kovalic (Dork Tower) is supposed to be there.

(I've also been to a couple of AmberCons, but they're just ADRPG playing - no exhibits or panels or such.)

AD? I get RPG, I'm a gamer myself. What is AD?

Not Advanced DnD?

AD = Amber Diceless. It's a diceless RPG system based on Roger Zelazny's Amber stories. That setting provides an unlimited variety of environments in which to place games, and not worrying about dice makes it, to me, more fun just concentrating on roleplaying the character. There are numbers, but only a basic set of stats are created for your characters at the very start, and the GM does all the stat comparison to see if various actions will succeed or not.

that sounds right cool. I've read a couple of the Amber series as well as a couple of other Zelazney books.
