Sometimes, there is such a thing as a free lunch.

After getting the video equipment from the studio this morning, I ran by Mark Pi's Express to pick up lunch for Toni: chicken fried rice w/ no egg. Simple enough. When I remember to order it that way, they usually remember to prepare it that way. This time, oops. The counter lady checked and remembered before giving it to me and had the cook make up another order. While waiting, she asked if I'd want the first order, the one that was messed up. I had planned on scrounging my own lunch at home after dropping Toni's off for her. I took it. Chicken fried rice isn't my favorite, but I'll eat it once in a great while. The funny thing is, when they were making Toni's order over, the cook double-checked that peas and carrots were okay. Those vegetables were found nowhere in the order I just ate with egg in it. :-)

I bet the cook knew he was supposed to leave something out of the order, just forgot what it was :-)
