How sad. :-(
Jun. 26th, 2004 11:25 amJust read about this in my latest Yellowstone Discovery, the Yellowstone Association newsletter:
Rare combination of events causes bison deaths at Norris.
I've seen plenty of bison, some (at Yellowstone) quite close (though I know to keep my distance and use a telephoto lens on the camera) - they're magnificent. In Yellowstone, it's very easy to get the feeling that we're in their park - they certainly go where and do what they please. Once, Toni and I got behind a small herd walking down one of the roads. They were taking their time, and no traffic was going to bother them. I'll have to find and scan in a few of the pictures I got then. :-)
