The Curse of the Seventh Episode
Jun. 4th, 2004 09:12 pmWell, I finally actually saw the seventh and last episode of the third series of Coupling (the BBC original, of course). I had set up two VCRs to tape it last weekend when BBC America was running a marathon. The spare bedroom VCR had the tape with the previous 6 episodes, which I figured we could give to Al to give to Derk once the DVDs for series three show up (which they did today). I also had another tape in the living room VCR getting a second air time. I figured that would cover the possibility of one of the cable boxes resetting while I was away. That turned out to be moot. Apparently I misread BBCA's schedule when programming the spare bedroom VCR and didn't get it on the end of the tape with the rest of the series. I did get it on the tape in the living room, though, and watched it last night. And now the DVDs are here, anyway. :-)
As for the episode, it was good, but I guess it was anticlimactic after waiting as long as I had to see it (this wasn't the first time I've tried to tape it). The whole mess-up with the pregnancy tests and the confrontation in the fertility clinic were great, as was the Spider-Man dance.
Now to start taping (and watching) series four Sunday night... :-)
