Mushroom, Mushroom... Snake!

Lawn mower fiasco finished. Got the mower fixed this morning and just finished (well, about 1/2 hour ago, actually - I just got out of the shower if you want to be picky) cutting the grass before the thunderstorms get here in a bit. Ground had been so wet we were sprouting our usual crop of mushrooms earlier than I've noticed in past years.
Also happened to cut up inadvertently a small garden snake on the back hill, near one of the Roses of Sharon bushes. Never saw it until I was on the next pass and I almost stepped on what was left.
