Back to the Salt Mines...

Got another big bucket full of salt out of the water softener this afternoon, a lot more than the first time. One more session should take care of it, but my arms were giving out again so I've called it quits. Hopefully I can wrap up tomorrow. Got a long masonry drill bit to use with our high-powered cordless drill. Nice idea, but wasn't quite as effective as I had hoped. Don't want to use it anymore, because now the depth of the remaining salt would have me drilling dangerously close to the bottom of the softener, which is just plastic.
