Hey all in the above area! Since we're also considering it as a target relocation area, [livejournal.com profile] soaring_phoenix and I are planning a trip to the DC metro area, possibly (not set yet) the week around/after July 4.

If anyone wants to see us / can offer crash space and/or tour guide services / whatever for any part of our trip, it would be appreciated. Comment here and/or e-mail me at dan at the-looney-bin dot org.

[livejournal.com profile] krasota and [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat, if y'all can stand us for a couple of days, we thought we'd pay y'all a visit as well at the start of the trip. :-)

Yesterday, Toni and I went downtown to see the exhibit The Sensuous West: Photographs by Edward Weston at the Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art. It was cool to see some of Weston's works with which I wasn't as familiar, as well as some of the more well-known stuff. I still think my favorites are his shots of slices of cabbage, the white radishes, and peppers.

After the exhibit we came home for a bit, then went up to Anderson to a yummy pizza place, before finally seeing Kingdom of Heaven. Nice film. Not too bad from a historical standpoint, all things considered. Started off a bit slow, IMHO, but I started getting into it once Orlando Bloom's character actually got to Jerusalem. Maybe it was Eva Green. The eyes, the eyes. *whimper* :-)
