I want election day media coverage like that here in the US.

In and out of the car a few times today, listening to BBC World Service on my XM satellite radio receiver, when they would do the news each half hour, the reader would say something like:

Britain is holding a general election today. Tony Blair's Labour party will try to win a third term in power.

That was it. On to the next story. No pontificating, no exit polls, no inane commentary. Granted, they mentioned in a promo a couple of times they would have complete coverage once the polls closed, but until then, squat.
