I don't think great quite cuts it, but 52's the sort of birthday one feels comfortable rather ignoring. I've been in at work for the past 5 hours, am about to leave, go home, pack an overnight bag, and when Hal finishes the part-time job he has on Saturdays we're going over to PEI to see my parents, who just came down from Toronto. Colin's off at his friend E's family's rented cottage for 2 weeks, and Kate's at the YMCA's Big Cove Camp, also for a fortnight, so we are childfree :-)
