Hey all in the above area! Since we're also considering it as a target relocation area, [livejournal.com profile] soaring_phoenix and I are planning a trip to the DC metro area, possibly (not set yet) the week around/after July 4.

If anyone wants to see us / can offer crash space and/or tour guide services / whatever for any part of our trip, it would be appreciated. Comment here and/or e-mail me at dan at the-looney-bin dot org.

[livejournal.com profile] krasota and [livejournal.com profile] explodingcat, if y'all can stand us for a couple of days, we thought we'd pay y'all a visit as well at the start of the trip. :-)

Are either of y'all allergic to cats? I'll check with C. to see if we can excavate the spare bedroom and offer it for a weekend.

Technically, I am, but I've stayed with plenty of cat-owners and as long as I control my petting urge, I'm generally okay.

Thanks! :-)

So long as it's *after* we return from MS/TN, sure. We should be getting back around 21 June.

Yeah, our trip won't start before that first weekend of July, and that will depend on Toni getting the time off soon enough. We'll of course keep you posted.

I'd like to check out Monticello while we're there if we have time. Looking forward to seeing y'all. :-)

Well, I've only said it a few other times, but consider this a crash-space offer. :-)

We do have three cats, but the guest room is (mostly) cat-free. (I say "mostly" because although we keep the door closed, they have been known to sneak by when someone's going in or out.) We also don't need to excavate it...we haven't lived in the house long enough to have filled up the other storage areas. :-)

We live in Fairfax, which is not very far outside of DC. Send email when you have more details on your trip (stitchinthyme at gmail dot com) and I can give you directions and stuff.

Thanks a lot! :-) We'll keep you up on details by e-mail as we work them out.

If you don't get a quick response it's because we're on vacation. (I don't like posting trip details in public forums until after I come back because I'm paranoid about letting the world know when I'm not going to be home. But we'll be back well before the 4th, so don't think I'm blowing you off if you don't hear back right away.)
