Killing Time

This afternoon, I went with mac_arthur_park to drop off various job applications. While she was interviewing at the Evil Empire Starbucks, I wandered around the mall where it is located - The Fashion Mall, a rather, shall we say, upscale mall on the north side of Indy containing Saks Fifth Avenue, The Sharper Image, Gap Kids, Eddie Bauer, etc.

We had no idea how long her interview and what became her hiring was going to take, so I decided I'd wander the mall. There is not one bookstore in The Fashion Mall. There is a game store, however, albeit a sucky one in comparison to many I've visited in other places. Before I gave up and walked outside to the nearby Borders in a neighboring strip mall, noticing The Fashion Mall security was probably about to confront me about potential loitering, I was very tempted to purchase a copy of Dragon magazine and sit right in the middle of the mall, in front of Saks. I wonder what sort of looks I'd have gotten then. :-)

As a small celebratory gesture, Al and I went to a local Cold Stone Creamery for some dessert a few minutes ago.

The total for our order was $6.66.

Gamers Having Children

Game fair finds generations at play. GenCon convention is a family gathering for many of the 30,000 enthusiasts in town.
