Saw
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban - The Imax Experience with
soaring_phoenix today. It was very cool - there is a lot more physical detail visible on that large screen. I was glad to see the film was shown letterboxed. Given that Imax is usually 4:3, like television, I was concerned about panning and scanning or just odd cropping. I could see hairs on Aunt Marge's neck as she was blowing up, more detail in the scratches on Prof. Lupin's (and later Hermione's) face, etc.
This morning, I put on Toni's old ankle "air cast" immobilizer/brace. I hope it will help this tendonitis heal up more quickly. I want to start doing things again, and the recurring pain in that left ankle has been driving me nuts. After wearing the brace today, I can tell that if I'd ever had a joint put in a plaster cast, I would have gone completely bugfuck. I get rather fidgety, and being unable to move an extremity much for a long period is annoying. Going downstairs is the most challenging activity. Upstairs is awkward but not bad. I'll have to see how well my ankle is after I cut the grass tomorrow or Tuesday - I'm going to try to wear the brace during mowing.
