I should know better...
Mar. 19th, 2004 08:14 am...than to poke around Apple's movie trailer site. There are several things coming out I want to see of which I wasn't aware before. And there are some that leave me scratching my head, as I'd expect.
- Shrek 2 I was writing off, knowing nothing about it other than the obscure "2" poster, but adding John Cleese to the cast as well as Antonio Banderas as Puss in Boots? I'm curious.
- Troy. Already on my list.
- Alien vs. Predator. Just when you thought they'd had enough, they dig into the video game well. Not going there. [Edit: I have been corrected that this also pre-existed as a Dark Horse comic. I still think the movie idea is cheesy. Sue me.]
- King Arthur. I'm very curious. Kiera Knightley plays Gueneviere. A Jerry Bruckheimer production, so the score is, as expected, by Hans Zimmer and will probably sound like the score from The Rock, just like Pirates of the Caribbean's did.
- The Stepford Wives. I love the original with Katherine Ross, and was expecting this to be a remake, with current special effects and such. From the trailer, it's being presented as a comedy, with Nicole Kidman and Matthew Broderick. And it's directed by Frank Oz. Must. See.
- Of course, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban goes without saying. I'd already seen that trailer.
