As much as I enjoyed the photo seminar The Forgotten Season: Winter at Mono Lake last January, I'm really tempted to do something different this coming January, such as Silence & Solitude: Winter Photography in Yellowstone by the Yellowstone Institute. Even though I've been to Yellowstone twice, I haven't been in winter yet, and I've seen some great stuff in other people's work. It's the week after the Mono Lake one; I can't do both; and it'd be a shorter drive, since I'm not likely to fly this time to whatever one(s) I attend in the coming year. There are some other interesting ones being held in 2004 by the Grand Canyon Field Institute, too, but they're much later in the year and therefore may also be possible. And I've not yet been to the Grand Canyon at all. Need to look over the Yosemite Association's catalog, too. All this, of course, depends on open slots, among other things.
