One of the best contra dances to date, IMHO

Went to the special Saturday night dance in Indy tonight, and I must say, it was a wonderful time! Great band ("This Band for Hire" is really the name), great caller - he explained everything well and chose some wonderful dances with some interesting and entertaining patterns. There was a smaller number of "newbies" (granted, I haven't been going for years, but I'm starting to feel pretty confident, especially on nights like this) compared to the weekly Tuesday night dances. I even got through a swing dance w/o losing the beat or stepping on my partner's toes.

I am also extremely exhausted. This was a three hour dance, compared to two hours on Tuesdays. I'm just catching up on e-mail and LJ before collapsing... and now I have to get this mental image of britgeekgrrl with thigh-high leather boots out of my head for some reason... ;-)

Mmmm... Fruity Goodness...

Not quite like last week's:

- 1/2 package frozen berries from Trader Joe's
- a bit of Splenda[TM]
- water (the milk is bad, even though it had a date of 11/25, so just a "smoothie" this morning rather than a shake)

mix in blender until smooth. A bit tart, but still - YUM!

Next, a cinnamon roll...
