will vacation ever get here?

Well, I was going to start this post kvetching about a situation at work that has really honked me off, where my motives were brought into question, a good employee was treated as the rope in a tug-of-war match, etc. - BUT, since it seems to have been resolved in the positive, I'll save you gentle readers from such a tirade, since I seem to have gotten it out of my system.

Instead, I think I'll start looking forward to vacation, especially since a friend has loaned me an old manual Graflex 6x9 camera to get some 120 film experience while computerchix and I are winding through the Maritimes and Niagara Falls. Two 6x9 backs and a 6x6 back - should be fun. I got some Portra VC 160 and some Plus-X. I may try some Provia, too.

Can't wait for Friday evening, when we head out east...

dangers of mountain biking...

Well, I had been getting excited about another trip I was planning after the big vacation computerchix and I are taking starting this weekend. I was going out to Grand Junction, CO, to a wine country festival and accompanying bicycle tour of the wineries in the area the weekend of 9/20. The really good friend from Denver I was meeting and going with wiped out on her mountain bike on Friday. Messed up her knee, I understand. Not sure yet, but I may go out there anyway. Not for the wine fest/bike ride, but to keep her company, depending on when her surgery is...
